Ghost Hour Takes Over the City Ahead of Launch

A series of sticker takeovers has appeared across familiar Shanghai nightlife spots in the lead-up to the launch of Ghost Hour Liquor (寅鬥烈酒).

This month, Ghost Hour branding has started appearing in unexpected corners of Shanghai’s nightlife scene.

Doors, bathrooms, bar fridges, tables, outside walls were covered in Ghost Hour stickers as part of a one-off campaign ahead of the brand’s official launch.

The locations have deliberately been left unidentified. For people who spend enough time in Shanghai bars, some should be immediately recognisable.

Rather than using traditional outdoor advertising, the campaign went directly into participating nightlife venues, temporarily turning familiar parts of bars into Ghost Hour installations. All of the takeovers were created with the venues’ approval and photographed as part of the campaign.

Ghost Hour is a new spirits brand built around late nights, bartenders and the hours after most of the city has gone home. The sticker campaign reflects that identity: informal, slightly mischievous and rooted in the places where people actually drink.

Ghost Hour officially launches in Shanghai this month and is now rolling out nationally through Telford Wine & Spirits.
